Still Life with a Pint of Guinness – 29” x 21” Oil on Panel 2001. This picture is painted in the style of a Dutch still life except that I have used a more exotic display of fruit and vegetables and I have added a pint if Guinness.
Candles and Fruit – 18” x 27” Oil on Panel 1994. I like the unusual composition of this still life.
Lilies – 10” x 16” Oil on Panel 1988. Lilies are my favourite flowers and I have painted them on a number of occasions.
Butsudan – 24” x 34” Oil on Panel 1995. A butsudan is an alter used in the practice of Nichiren Buddhism. This picture shows the lower half where various offerings have been laid out and the recitation is about to begin.
Butsudan Still Life – 12” x 17” Oil on Panel 1996. In Nichiren Buddhism evergreens are displayed as they symbolise eternity.
The Three Crowns – 30” x 40” Oil on Panel 1982. This pub was my local back in the late seventies and early eighties.
Tradex, Isle of dogs – 34” x 36” Oil on Canvas 2004. I painted the Head Office of Tradex basking in the midday sun under a sky of azure blue.
Tradex, City of London – 28” x 40” Oil on Canvas 2004. I have always enjoyed painting the city at night, especially after a shower of rain when the damp streets reflect the neon lights.
