Secret stairs – 38” x 40” Oil on Panel 1985. I should like to walk up an ancient stairway overgrown with wisteria and overhung with cherry blossoms. This picture may be self-indulgent but I don’t care, it creates a soothing atmosphere and I love the subtle detail.
