Death and the Maiden – Oil on Canvas -24″ x 22″ – 2011.

Death and the Maiden has been a popular theme throughout the history of art. In my picture the young women is gazing into a mirror admiring her body and wondering what to wear for the evening. Behind her the figure of Death holds up a shroud, indicating that this is what the young lady will be wearing one day.
