The Three Graces – 19” x 19” Oil on Panel 2006.

This picture is derived from Raphael’s famous painting that hangs in the National Gallery, London. Raphael’s design is based on a Roman motif. This picture is painted from a series of life drawings I made using the same model. It was my intention to recreate the design in terms of a modern ideal of female beauty.
